Project name and description
After four years in the US Army Reserve, Benjamin J. Fisher attended Wichita State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 1997. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2001 from Washburn University School of Law. Ben's legal career began at the Reno County District Attorney's Office where he worked as the Assistant District Attorney for five years (2001-2006) before being promoted to the Senior Assistant District Attorney (2006-2009). During his time at the Reno County District Attorney's Office, Ben prosecuted juvenile and adult misdemeanor and felony offenses,
traffic offenses and Child in Need of Care cases. He also specialized in Identify Theft, Financial, Drug and Computer crimes.
As the prior defense counsel in Reno County Drug Court, Ben continues to specialize in adult and juvenile drug cases while also expanding his representation to include a variety of both civil and criminal legal matters. Divorce, child custody, child support, paternity and other domestic cases are amongst Ben's other areas of expertise. Ben is admitted to practice in the Kansas Supreme Court and the United States District Court, District of Kansas.
Ben is married and the father of two.
